ABOUT OUR CHOCOLATE
In the spring of 2022, a team from Hope Rising packed their bags and made the 24 hour journey to Uganda to visit cacao farms in Western Uganda.
We had a vision of using delicious craft chocolate sourced from these farms to help fund our projects and bring more economic stability to Ugandan farmers and artisans along the way.
What we found exceeded our expectations! We discovered Latitude Chocolate, who works directly with farmers to grow top quality cacao. Farmers are supplied seedlings and provided with training in agriculture, organic practices, and finances. Currently, 4,664 farmers are being paid a living wage by Latitude, including 2,266 WOMEN farmers. Latitude also provides well-paying jobs processing the cacao and making chocolate.
We love how this sustainable cacao production and bean to bar chocolate making is giving otherwise vulnerable people access to economic stability, food, medical care, and education for their children. 100% of profits from our chocolate sales go to keep Ugandan kids in school!

Many jobs have been created from this chocolate, from over 4600 organic farmers to expert chocolate makers.
100% of the proceeds from this chocolate go back to Uganda to provide life changing education that breaks the cycle of generational poverty.
These bars are absurdly delicious, full of
deep, bright, fruity notes of raspberry and dried mango.

ABOUT OUR COFFEE
High on the slopes of Uganda’s fertile hills, Mountain Harvest is working side-by-side with farmers to produce high-quality Arabica coffee – coffee that fuels a better way for farmers, their families, and the soil beneath their feet. Mountain Harvest exists to improve livelihoods for the farmers who produce this excellent coffee. Typical coffee trade does't guarantee fair prices to small-scale farmers. Mountain Harvest solves this problem by providing a 50% bonus directly to the people creating this coffee, an amount that raises wages 4 times higher than "fair trade."

This delicious organically grown and ethically traded coffee is produced on the western slope of Mt. Elgon in Eastern Uganda by small scale farmers. These farmers grow coffee — primarily the SL-14 and Nyasaland varieties — in some of the highest elevations in the world.

100% of profits from the sale of this coffee keeps Ugandan children in school!
